The goal of faith formation here at St. Luke the Evangelist parish is to bring people to Jesus.

We hope to form committed disciples of Jesus who reflect the light of Christ in the world.

Catechists strive to pass on the Catholic faith to their students through use of:
· Sacred Scripture
· Sacred Tradition
· Church teaching
· Prayer
· Faith and moral instruction
· Sacraments
· Study of the lives of the saints
· Community involvement
· Service opportunities

Our catechists attempt to teach through both word and action, however, there is no substitute for parent involvement in their children’s religious formation as family involvement in the faith formation process is critical. Christian discipleship is a lifelong process and all spiritual life flows from Christ, therefore the ultimate goal of faith formation is an encounter with Jesus Christ.
